Exit 1

The first exit for most entrepreneurs is when they break free of the golden handcuffs and start their own business. 

In doing so, they usually become the Chief EVERYTHING Officer of the new venture and find they have LESS time and financial freedom.

At this point, most question their decision making paradigm and a significant portion give up!

You might be wondering if it's really possible for someone like you, with your unique challenges and circumstances, to achieve a 7-figure exit. 

Let me share my story - because I promise - if I can do it, you can do it.

Just six weeks before having my fifth son, I launched my business. The timing was terrible and it was a massive risk that honestly could have ruined us if it failed. 

My husband was earning $36,000 a year working nights at the post office and in school during the day. He was barely home. 

Nights were a blur of feedings and days, a juggle of caring for our children while working full time running a sales team for another company. 

The realization hit hard: our family needed more. 

I craved control over my time and yearned for more family moments.

So, I took a leap - I started creating something of my own. 

But this move wasn't well-received by my then-employer, who saw my efforts as competition. 

They gave me a choice, I could keep my job and stay just as things were, but I couldn’t build anything of my own. 

Or I could go out on my own…

With a history of medical bills, debt, and even bankruptcy, traditional business financing was out of reach. So I had to bootstrap and sell enough every month to cover the basic needs of my family and pay our business expenses. 

Leaving a six-figure job was a risk that kept me awake at night.  But staying meant missing out on life's precious moments with my family. 

I decided it was time to be brave.

The first year was a dream come true: I replaced my full-time income. 

The second year, we quadrupled our sales, and my husband left his job to join the business. 

We even bought our dream house. It seemed we had it all.

But then, life threw its curveballs. 

In 2018, family emergencies, including becoming a caregiver for my grandmother and dealing with significant mental health challenges within the family, demanded my full attention. 

Our business, heavily reliant on me, plummeted from $600K to $100K. 

It was a wake-up call. I hadn't built a self-sustaining company; I had created a business that couldn't function without me.

In 2020, with a renewed vision, I returned to the business world. While others struggled amidst global upheavals, I focused on building robust systems and processes. 

The result? Our business not only recovered but soared higher than before. We achieved our 7-figure exit.

Now, my focus has shifted to acquiring businesses, with a dream to purchase a company for each of my five sons to manage when they're ready.
